Casino Night - Marshals yard

The Casino Night Rally at Gainsborough proved to be a fantastic weekend enjoyed by all who attended. Rally stewards Pauline & John and Lynne & Colin gave everyone a warm welcome and ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Twenty-six vans arrived and were neatly parked up—15 from East Midlands, 8 from Anglia, 2 from Yorkshire, and 1 from Nene Valley, making for a friendly and lively mix of members.

Friday began with a relaxed afternoon tea, coffee, and plenty of chatter in the hall. Later that evening, acting chair Sandra officially greeted everyone before the social fun began. Bingo and a general knowledge quiz kept minds sharp, while background music set the perfect tone for a laid-back evening catching up with friends old and new.

Saturday was left free for members to explore the charms of Gainsborough at their own pace, with coffee and conversation back in the hall during the afternoon. The highlight of the weekend came on Saturday night with the Casino Night, the main event. Everyone looked splendid in their evening wear and threw themselves into the spirit of the occasion. The room buzzed with laughter, good-natured competition, and plenty of cheering. Congratulations went to Ali Insley, winner of the Snail Race, with Graham Warriner-Utting as runner-up. The overall Casino Night winner was David, while Sandra earned the well-deserved title of Winning Croupier for the evening.

Sunday morning brought the traditional coffee morning and chat from the acting chair, followed by the raffle. Prizes were claimed, friendships reaffirmed, and everyone was wished a safe journey home. It was a truly enjoyable weekend full of laughter, good company, and great entertainment. We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next rally!
