Chairman's Message
The 2024-25 rally year has been a good one overall with attendances at rallies increasing over the year. I am hoping that this continues into the next year.

Our Rally officer resigned early in the year and the post was filled by Jane stepping in and taking hold of the reigns. She has come up with a good selection of venues throughout the coming months despite making a late start on the bookings.

We had a couple of new venues this year including Husbands Bosworth Gliding Centre where a number of members took the opportunity of taking a trial flight (or two) in some cases, and due to its popularity, we are returning there again this year. Similarly, we tried Marton & Gate Burton Village Hall and although attendance wasn’t as good as expected everyone who attended thought it was a great rally, so for those who missed it, you’ve got another chance this year.

We have a new venue this year at Sibsey Village Hall, between Boston and Skegness, however the hard standing space is limited so it will be a bookable rally.

Our popular Cromford rally at Matlock Rugby Club will be a 7 day holiday rally this coming year. Although they are rebuilding a new club house there, the toilets and showers are still available , and it has been timed to coincide with the Matlock beer festival across the road! For those who want a longer period, the Motorcycle Group have invited us to move on to their rally at Chatsworth House as a follow-on. We are hoping this might encourage a few visitors from further afield in the UK who wouldn’t really come for just a weekend

Our dinner dance for 2026 is still a bit up in the air, as Springfields conference centre have increased their prices significantly (over 50%). We are looking at a new venue at Old Leake near Boston. It appears to have everything we want, but negotiations are still in hand.

The popular Easter Rally at Springfields is not affected and will go ahead as usual.

We look forward to seeing you all over the coming months and hope you enjoy yourselves at every rally you attend.
