| Rally Stewards Wanted
We still need rally stewards for
MARTON AND GATE BURTON (11th to 13th September) BROWNHILLS (13th - 15th November) IF WE DONT HAVE STEWARDS, THEN WE WILL HAVE NO OPTION
BUT TO CANCEL RALLIES. We still do not have stewards for many of our rallies. It is not a difficult job and in some cases is only a matter of parking up the motorhomes on arrival. if you are willing to have a go but feel unsure, we can arrange for you to share the task with a more experienced steward. Please speak to a committee member if you would like further help to decide if you could do it. REMPSTONE STEAM RALLY
Bookings for this rally have now closed as all our allocated places are taken. Those who have already booked will not be affected. You can still book directly with the organisers, but will be located in a different field to our main group. Skellingthorpe New Year Rally
Sadly following a complaint from a local resident that the car park was not available over the new year resulting in cars being parked on the main road, the local parish council have asked us to reduce the number of motorhomes to a maximum of 30. Although most members were very happy with this location, the committee have looked closely at this and have decided that it would be no longer economically viable with only 30 motorhomes. We have therefore decided to relocate this rally back to Ingoldmells for New Year 2026 Further details will be provided at a later date. |
Bookings Rallies during 2026
All bookings for 2026 rallies should be made by telephoning our dedicated
rally hotline on 07933 804135, between 10:30am and 6:00pm (please leave a message outside these times) or in person at a previous rally. Deposit payments can be made by direct bank transfer, cheque, or if booking in person at a previous rally by cash or card. If paying by direct transfer pleaase use the following details: Sort Code 30-95-05 Accnt No. 01735322 if your online banking asks for an account name use "East Midlands Group" Please use a payment reference of your surname followed by rally name i.e. 'Thompson-Springfield' some banks restrict the number of characters but as long as you have your surname and the first three or four characters of the rally, we'll be able to tie up your payment with your booking. If you are paying on behalf of somebody else then please inform us by phone or e-mail to avoid confusion. Important Announcement
It was always my intention to step down from the committee from the next AGM, but this means we will be short of (at least) two senior committee members from October. We are looking to co-opt at least 2 new members to the committee before the AGM to take over the position of Rally Officer (with immediate effect), and assistant Secretary who would be willing to shadow me over the coming months and take over as secretary from the AGM. Please don’t think “somebody else will do it” and risk the East Midlands Group folding after the AGM due to not having a full committee. It is important that we fill these two positions as soon as possible. If you feel you could help, or want further details of what the jobs entail, please contact myself or any other committee member.
