Rally Report

34 vans attended the 59th Annual General Meeting rally, one of which was a first-time visitor. The members were welcomed by the committee on a rainy afternoon. Teas and coffees were available in the hall which gave us time to chat with friends. The rally was officially opened by the Chairperson Anne on Friday evening. Raffle tickets and bonus ball on sale. Bingo was played and Anne provided a table quiz and a silly quiz.

Then the highlight of the night was the Grand Conker Competition which was run by Dave and Champa. This caused great entertainment and the final was between Robin and Dave. There was a steward’s enquiry, but Dave was declared the winner, (this will probably be under discussion until the next conker competition).

Saturday morning the AGM took place then members went to the local pub for refreshments and a meal or visited the local area. Saturday evening the committee provided a pie and pea supper and some delicious cakes to follow. The evening was concluded with entertainment by a singer - Kenny J.

On Sunday we had a coffee morning when the raffle and bonus ball were drawn. Our new Chairperson, Brian, closed the rally after thanking members for their support and thanking the committee for stewarding the rally.
