Rally Report

The stewards welcomed 35 vans to our annual New Year Rally at Ingoldmells. The weather was windy and the occasional drop of rain but not bad for this time of year.

Friday evening the chairman welcomed every one to the rally and he welcomed 2 first time East Midland ralliers and one first timer from Anglia.

Bingo was played and then Brian had prepared a “What Happened in 2022” quiz which was won by Paul’s table, followed by karaoke. Also we had asked the members to bring along their school photos and they were pinned up so all the members could guess who they were. These pictures caused a lot of interest and laughs.

On Saturday after the coffee morning some members went on the usual trail in to Skeg Vegas and some went a walk to see the sea before getting dressed up for the evening. The theme this year was ‘ Back to School’ and it was fun to see members dressed up in school uniforms. We were entertained by Lindsey Pepper who kept people dancing all night until we let the New Year in.

On Sunday some members went out for lunch then joined the remaining members in the hall for tea, coffee, and cakes. Sunday evening it was fun and games. Play your cards right, Dingbats, Last Man Standing and the result of the picture competition.

Monday morning Brian closed the rally and thanked the members for attending and making it a brilliant weekend and thanked the stewards Ian, Jean and Yvonne for all the work in making it a lovely weekend and wished them all a safe journey home and looked forward to seeing them soon.
