We have received the sad news that Roy Blackham passed away this morning.
For those of you that can’t place the name, he was the committee member who ran the Bingo for years and carried the equipment around in a trailer. We have no further details of his funeral at the moment, but it will be put on our Facebook and website as soon as we know.

Due to increases in costs, we have had to increase the price for the Bakewell rally from £13 to £15 per night.
We have absorbed some of this cost, but regret that we have to increase the price. This is still good value and the more that attend, the less we are likely to run at a loss.

There have been reports about gossip circulating in the group about our chairman.

To put matters straight, I wish to inform you that Brian and Yvonne are leaving the Motorcaravanners’ Club and have tendered their resignation from the committee, to me as Secretary.

The committee have known about this since Sunday, but I could not make an official announcement until I had received Brian’s written resignation. The vice chairman, Paul Arndt, will take over as acting chairman until the AGM.

I would like you to take the opportunity of thanking Brian and Yvonne for all the hard work they have put in to helping run the East Midlands Group over recent years and wish them well with their new venture in a static caravan.
